Hibernian boss Nick Montgomery has confirmed that both Elie Youan and Christian Doidge are available for the upcoming Scottish Premiership fixture against St Johnstone.

Both men suffered knocks during the 2-2 draw with Kilmarnock, with Doidge in particular suffering as he picked up a facial injury after colliding with an opponent's knee.

The 31-year-old  had to be led off with blood pouring from his face and later required stitches to the wound.

Montgomery later confirmed the striker had a "double eye split". There had been concerns he could miss a run of the games but he appears to have made a full recovery.

Meanwhile, Hibees forward Kanayo Megwa has joined Scottish Championship side Airdrieonians on loan until the end of the season, with the deal being reviewed in January.

The 19-year-old spent part of the previous campaign on the books of Kelty Hearts and made his debut for the Easter Road side earlier this year against Motherwell.

On Megwa’s loan move, academy director Gareth Evans said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Kanayo and is the next stage of his development, playing regularly in the Championship.

“We’ve already seen the impact Airdrieonians has had on Murray and Josh, and we believe this is the perfect place to help Kanayo continue his upward trajectory.

“His loan move at Kelty Hearts last season gave him the taste of regular senior football and really aided his development as he looks to eventually work his way into the first team here.”
