Hibs have announced details of a pre-season trip to the Netherlands next month.

David Gray will take his side to mainland Europe for seven days of graft from Monday, July 1 to Monday, July 8. Whilst there, Hibs will play two friendly matches - one against German 3. Liga side MSV Duisburg, and the second against Greek champions PAOK.

The first fixture - on Wednesday, July 3 - will be held behind closed doors, and the second will be open to a limited supporters as the team travel to the Sportpark Kerkebos in Swolgen on Saturday, July 6. The camp will see Hibs' preparations for the 2024/25 campaign intensify ahead of the Premier Sports Cup group stage beginning on Saturday, July 13 away at Elgin City.

A club statement said: "We will travel to the Netherlands this summer to prepare for the upcoming 2024/25 William Hill Premiership campaign. David Gray, his coaching staff, and the first team squad will fly out to the Netherlands on Monday 1 July, 2024, before returning home the following Monday (8 July, 2024).

"During the intensive eight-day training camp, Gray’s side will play two pre-season friendlies facing German side MSV Duisburg and Greek champions PAOK. The Hibees will take on MSV Duisburg behind-closed-doors on Wednesday 3 July, 2024. With the game being BCD unfortunately supporters cannot attend, however, they can follow the action across Hibs’ social media channels.

"Our second friendly of the camp against PAOK will take place three days later on Saturday 6 July, 2024 kicking off at 3pm (UK time) at the Sportpark Kerkebos (Molenstraat 37, 5866 AA Swolgen). This game will be open for a limited number of supporters, with ticket details being communicated in due course."

Hibs have announced two other friendly matches as they gear up for the new campaign. They will begin with a short trip to Meadowbank on Saturday, June 29 to take on Edinburgh City, and then there's a home encounter with EFL Championship side Watford on Wednesday, July 24, in the midst of the ongoing Premier Sports Cup fixtures. The new Premiership campaign is set to kick off on the weekend beginning Saturday, August 3.
