Hibs' upcoming Premiership fixtures against Rangers and Hearts have been rescheduled.

Due to their respective opponents' commitments with European football, David Gray's side have had another two Sunday games added to their schedule. They will now visit Ibrox on September 29, with kick-off at 12pm, and the following month's Edinburgh derby at Easter Road will now take place on October 27, with kick-off time to be confirmed.

The match against Rangers will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, the second Hibs fixture of the season so far to be picked for TV. The reshuffle means by the end of October Hibs will have had five fixtures moved into a Sunday slot, four league games plus the Premier Sports Cup defeat to Celtic. Last season, Hibs played three of their first four Premiership matches on a Sunday, due to their own involvement in European qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Hibs right-back Lewis Miller could miss both of Australia's upcoming World Cup against Bahrain and Indonesia. Despite Miller travelling after the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock on Sunday, Socceroos manager Graham Arnold revealed he'd since suffered knee swelling and would sit out the first of the double-header versus Bahrain.

“Yeah look, I’ll be straight up with you. Lewis Miller has got a bit of a knee issue," said Arnold at a Wednesday press conference. “It blew up a little bit on the flight across. So he’s out. This is what happens in international football, which is why the last weekend is always stressful for myself, waiting for the boys to get the tick and come over.”

Elsewhere, despite reports to the contrary, the Hibs Observer the club understands are not close to a deal to sign free agent former Newcastle United attacker Dwight Gayle.
