Hibs will be without Marvin Ekpiteta for several weeks after the defender suffered a thigh injury.
The centre-back has been replaced in the starting XI for Saturday night's clash with Dundee by Rocky Bushiri, and he now faces a period on the sidelines. David Gray made four changes to the side that lost to St Mirren before the international break, revealing that some players were 'under the weather' will illness.
But Ekpiteta's absence stands out as a significant blow for the Hibees. After a shaky start to life at Easter Road, he has emerged as a strong performer in an otherwise struggling side.
"Marvin Ekpiteta has picked up a thigh injury," Gray told Premier Sports. "It's really disappointing. He will be out for a number of a weeks, which is a bit of a blow, but it's an opportunity for someone else to come in and nail down a spot."
