Head coach David Gray spoke to the media after Hibs' 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday. Here's everything he had to say...

It mustn't get any easier to take when it's in the 90th minute...

"No, definitely not. I think the frustration is that's two weeks on the bounce from a winning position, to be pegged back makes it really difficult to take. It's a real tough venue, they make it very difficult here. I thought we stood up to that until that one moment, the physical side to it. But also, in all the league games we've played, there has been progression there. I think you can clearly see a little bit of a lack of confidence in some players at the moment. The break comes at a really good time - the new bodies coming in, time to gel, time to get new ideas into them, the squad starting to know each other a bit more. It would have been better to go in with a win today, but there are positives to take from it."

Is Nectar's performance one of the positives?

"Yeah, absolutely. He's only trained one day, but the fact he's been here before, he knows me, he knows the club and how we want to play, made it easier to make that decision. But also because of the quality he's got, which you've seen today. He really stood up to the physical side, but also the quality he's got when he's in there as well. So that's a real plus. I don't like singling players out, but I think Kwon as well showed what he's about as well from a midfield point of view. That midfield has never played together and it will get better. There's also competition now with players coming in, so I expect it to improve quickly. As I've said last week and weeks previously, we know exactly where we need to improve and we've got the opportunity now with this break coming up to really hammer that home."

Nectar was about two inches away from goal of the season, wasn't he?

"Yes, for your six sitting in the middle of the pitch, you've got a little bit further forward than you'd like probably like! But no, the big moments in the game. I think if that goes 2-0, if that's six inches lower, it goes in and it makes it very difficult for them to come back into. Whilst it stays 1-0, they've always got that onslaught that you know is going to come late on in games. But listen, the big moments in the games... I think we had one in the first half where we rode our luck a little bit as well. At the end of the day we needed to be better right to the very end."

Was Joe's goal a shot or cross?

"Listen, it's something we've worked on. It's one of them. when you cut back onto his left foot, he has got that quality. I'm sure if you ask him he'll say it was, but he's trying to pick out that back post regardless. It has to be on target and it has to be going in towards that area and if nobody touches it, it goes in. Happily for us, it went right in the back of the net. So that was a good bit of quality from him."

What's your take on the equaliser?

"Yes, I think very rarely there's only one mistake in a goal. I think the ball should never get to where it gets to. For Bruce Anderson to be wrong side of us, I don't like that. I think it shows there was a mistake in the back line there again and I think Marv recovers round. Anderson does well, he gets his body in front, gets across and Jordan Obita naturally tries to recover inside. In hindsight, could he just leave the ball completely and see what happens because Marv's there. But these moments happen very quickly in a game, you've got a split second to make that decision. I think the thing for me is every goal is avoidable, maybe even further up the pitch, and I think we needed to be better in that moment."
