Nick Montgomery has given an injury update on his squad, with utility man Josh Campbell making good progress in his recovery from an ankle problem picked up in the 1-0 defeat by Hearts in late December and Jake Doyle-Hayes tipped to make a return to training sooner rather than later.

The Irishman hasn't played since August 23 when he came on as a second-half substitute during the 5-0 Europa Conference League play-off first-leg defeat by Aston Villa at Easter Road but there could finally be light at the end of the tunnel for the midfielder.

But January signing Luke Amos is facing a spell on the sidelines after he picked up an injury during last weekend's 2-1 victory over Dundee.

Previewing Saturday's cinch Premiership match, he said: "Unfortunately, Luke overstretched in the Dundee game so he'll be missing for a couple of weeks. It's tough news for him because he was really coming on and I think everyone can see what a player he is. It's just unfortunate for him. But fingers crossed he won't be out for too long. It's disappointing for Luke but he'll be fighting to get back fit as soon as he can.

"We should have Jake Doyle-Hayes back in training soon, and Chris Cadden is back in full training as well."

Nectar Triantis, who came on in midfield against Dundee and Hearts, could continue his role as a six, having played there for Montgomery during their time at Central Coast Mariners.

"After a three-game week, it's really important that we put out the strongest team we can because we've got a long week until the next game but as always, it's about the team that starts and the subs and the impact they have," Montgomery continued.

"Right now the squad is in a real healthy position and as long as everyone is 100%, they're giving themselves an opportunity. The boys know that because of the way we play, if they're not 100%, they'll be honest about it, because we've got strength in depth and players on the bench to make changes."
