Adam Le Fondre says he had 'a blast' at Hibs - despite being 'disappointed with how certain people treated me'.
The veteran forward's one-year deal at Easter Road is coming to an end, with former manager Nick Montgomery confirming earlier this month that he was not being offered an extension. Le Fondre, 37, made 29 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals, and would likely have featured more had it not been for a knee injury that kept him out for three months.
He will move on as part of an extensive summer overhaul, and indicated earlier this season that he intends to continue playing. And while he was generally positive in a social media post confirming his Easter Road exit - thanking Brian McDermott, Lee Johnson, and Nick Montgomery - the message wasn't without a rather cryptic element, the details of which Le Fondre said are 'for another day'.
He wrote on Instagram: "Season complete, I’d like to thank Brian McDermott and Lee Johnson for bringing me to the club and Nick Montgomery for continued trust in my ability. I had a blast north of the border.
"Thanks to the lads for welcoming me into the dressing room, really good bunch of people! Some weirdos mind 🤣 thanks to the medical and S&c staff for looking after me during a tough period for me being injured!!
"Disappointed with how the season panned out and how certain people treated me but that’s for another day. Special thanks to the fans for making me feel very welcome, it’s truly a special club Hibernian and I believe they are on the road to great things I’m sure.
"All the best Alfie"

Le Fondre is the latest Hibs player to speak out ahead of an expected departure, joining Emiliano Marcondes, Myziane Maolida, and Will Fish in marking the conclusion of their time at Hibs. After Saturday's final Premiership match, a 1-1 draw at Livingston, Maolida did not entirely rule out the prospect of staying at Hibs beyond this summer, the on-loan Hertha Berlin forward stressed his desire to play at the 'highest level' he possibly could, and his post on Instagram only strengthened the feeling that he will not be back in Leith.
Fish, meanwhile, issued an apology to supporters for how the season turned out, while Marcondes wished the club 'all the best' for the future.
