Hibs youth Reuben McAllister has completed a loan move to Cove Rangers.
The 18-year-old midfielder moves to the League One side on a short-term switch until January, as he enters the final year of his contract at Easter Road. McAllister, a 2022 signing from Bristol City's academy, has previously spent time in the third tier with Kelty Hearts, making 10 appearances across the latter half of last season.
He made his Hibs debut against Inter Club d'Escaldes in last season's Europa Conference League qualifier at Easter Road. McAllister joined David Gray's first-team setup in pre-season, and will now continue his development under the guidance of manager Paul Hartley.
Sporting director Malky Mackay described McAllister as a 'great kid with a fantastic attitude', and says the experience will be vital for his development.

“This is a good opportunity for Reuben to get more senior minutes at a competitive level," Mackay told Hibs' official website. “He has played in League One before, so he knows what challenge to expect and this will be another good test of his physical development. Reuben is a great kid, with a fantastic attitude and we are all looking forward to following his progress closely.”
McAllister becomes the seventh Hibs academy player to secure a loan move for first-team football this summer, following Rory Whittaker (The Spartans), Murray Aiken (Airdrieonians), Murray Johnson (Airdrieonians), Malik Zaid (Annan Athletic), Josh O'Connor (Dundalk), Oscar MacIntyre (Queen of the South) and Freddie Owens (Civil Service Strollers).
