Hibs midfielder Allan Delferrière has joined Racing Union Lëtzebuerg on loan.
The 22-year-old will spend the rest of the season in Luxembourg's top-flight, having spent the last half of last season with Czech outfit MFK Vyškov. Delferrière featured briefly in pre-season under David Gray but has made no competitive appearances thus far. He signed a new contract in September 2023 after initially being signed into the club's development setup.
Gray says he had multiple conversations with Delferrière over the summer and there was a consensus that another loan was the best option for his development. The Hibs head coach expects the move will provide the midfielder with a chance to get further game-time under his belt.
“I have had several conversations with Allan and we both agreed that at this stage of his career, it is best for his own development to be playing regular football," he told Hibs' official website.. “This opportunity provides exactly that – and will be a good chance for Allan to play at another competitive level and keep improving. We wish him all the best with the move and look forward to seeing how he progresses.”

Sporting director Malky Mackay says Delferrière's attitude has never been in question and expects another loan move will be as successful spell in the Czech top-flight.
“Allan had a good loan spell in the Czech Republic earlier this year and he definitely benefitted from playing senior football on a regular basis," said Mackay. “He loves playing football and being out on the pitch, and hopefully he will come back a more complete footballer after his time in Luxembourg. We look forward to following his progress closely and we wish him all the best.”
