TWO Scottish pubs with "terrific food" and "relaxed" atmospheres have been named among the cosiest in the whole of the UK.
The Good Food Guide said that as autumn draws in, it wants to highlight some of the top cosy pubs across the country.
The popular guide noted that these spots "don't just stoke the open fires and keep the logs well stacked, but serve up relaxed, warm vibes, good local beers and even better cooking."

The Kinneuchar Inn and Dumfries and Galloway's The Clachan Inn were the two Scottish pubs named among the cosiest in the UK by The Good Food Guide.
At the Kinneuchar Inn the menu changes daily, depending on the produce available to the kitchen that evening, meaning the diversity of dishes on offer here is substantial.
In terms of desserts, the pub does not disappoint with its homemade ice cream and shortbread being "hard to beat".
The Michelin star spot is beloved by patrons on Tripadvisor with it receiving a 4/5 out of 116 reviews. One visitor said coming here was a "fabulous experience" and that the "food was excellent".

The Clachan Inn was said to be the perfect stop for those driving through the "vast expanses" of Galloway Forest Park.
The spot is very popular among visitors with one person proclaiming it as "possibly the best pub in Scotland". Entering the establishment, visitors will be greeted by "flagged floors, open fires, great beer, a relaxed, warm vibe and terrific food".
The Inn offers plenty of pub favourites alongside "refined modern dishes," making the place ideal for a variety of moods and tastes.
