Pundit Michael Stewart has accused Hibernian of lacking class on and off the pitch, as he reacted to his former club's 2-1 home defeat by St Mirren at Easter Road on Saturday.
The result keeps Hibs bottom of the Scottish Premiership table and piles more pressure on David Gray, who has just one league win in 12 since taking the reins as head coach in the summer.
A first-half brace from Conor McMenamin gave the Buddies a 2-0 lead at half-time with substitute Nicky Cadden reducing the deficit from the spot in injury time. The winger thought he'd rescued an unlikely point for Hibs when he scored again just seconds later but the goal was ruled out following a VAR check.

Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound programme after the match, former Easter Road midfielder Stewart took aim at the club, claiming that there is 'no understanding of how you do things'.
“Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson, stalwarts of the club - the committee that was looking after them wanted to get a table [in hospitality] for their last game last season. The club were then charging their families for a table. [Former chairman] Rod Petrie, now, doesn’t get a ticket for the game - he has to buy his own season ticket. Some might say that’s fair enough, but you look after people who’ve given service to the club," he said.
“There’s no class there. There’s no understanding of how you do things - and that is indicative of the club as a whole.
“Paul McGinn, shown the door - because, why? I don’t know. Lesser players have been brought in, and more money spent on it. Leeann Dempster, out the door; more expensive replacements, who aren’t up to the job, who aren’t doing as good a job as they were.
“Jack Ross was the first manager that was bulleted by Ron Gordon and his family, and bit by bit, they're spending more money and bringing in less quality. And on the park, it’s the exact same."
