So close, you can just about reach out and touch it. You've got your ticket, made your travel plans, and arranged where to meet your mates beforehand. Your scarf lies folded on top of the dresser, ready for another rollercoaster ride through thick and thin, up and down the country, on Saturday afternoons and Tuesday nights. Hope. Fear. Optimism. Expectation. Uncertainty. Patter. Misery. Happiness. The unknown.

Yes, the start of the 2024/25 Scottish Premiership season is almost upon us. Hibernian have David Gray in place as new head coach and a newly-installed sporting director in Malky Mackay, while David Marshall has retired to take on the newly-created role of technical performance manager.

When the Hibs Observer launched back in September 2023, our beginning coincided with the start of Nick Montgomery's tenure as Easter Road head coach, but this season marks our first full campaign bringing you the best coverage of your club. Our first few months have been a learning curve and we are hopeful of using that experience to hone and refine our output - an ongoing process to ensure we provide value for money in all that we do.

In order to keep bringing you high-quality, unique, thought-provoking, and in-depth journalism, we require your support via subscription. We know it's a big ask, but backing us helps us to continue providing unrivalled coverage of your team. Currently, you can get full access to all our content for 12 months - including the entire 24/25 campaign - for just £18; nearly half the normal cost. If you'd rather suck it and see we are also offering a four months for £4 package.

So; what can you expect from us this season, and what will your money get you?

We'll have pre-match build-up, in-game updates, every word from the post-match press conferences in written and video form, exclusive interviews, tactical analysis, scouting reports on players, long reads, regular live streams and podcasts, and so much more. As well as regular articles from myself, Patrick McPartlin (@p_mcpartlin) and Liam Bryce (@liambryce_), we have frequent input from Craig Nisbet (@9125analysis) on the tactical side of the team while Matty Fairnie (@longbangers) provides a fan's view from the terrace, and Callum Watt (@callumgwatt) offers an alternative view via our TikTok channel

You can also catch up with all our video content on our Hibs Observer YouTube channel - please do consider subscribing so you can be first to see post-match press conferences, exclusive interviews, and our regular live discussions on all things Hibs. Our dedicated app - available for both Apple and Android - is by far the best way to follow our written content.

I’m proud of all that we’ve achieved so far with the Hibs Observer, and excited by the opportunities that lie ahead. We are constantly looking to improve our coverage and ensure that we are pushing the boundaries in terms of our content and the quality of our offering. We want our subscribers to feel involved so if there's a particular interview you would like us to try to secure or a topic about which you're interested in reading more, please do get in touch with us.
