A late rally wasn't enough for Hibernian against St Mirren as they fell to a 2-1 defeat that piles even more pressure on head coach David Gray.

Conor McMenamin scored twice in 15 first-half minutes to give the Buddies a comfortable lead at the interval before Martin Boyle won, and missed, a penalty on 63 minutes. Substitute Nicky Cadden converted a second penalty for Hibs in injury time and thought he'd snatched an unlikely equaliser moments later only for VAR to rule out his effort for offside.

The result keeps Hibs bottom of the Scottish Premiership with just one win from 12.
